NJ Man Turns Self in to Milton PD after Stabbing Thursday

Milton Police were called for a stabbing on Union Street Thursday just after noon.  Police found the victim, a 26 year old Lewes woman, who had been stabbed multiple times.  As police searched for the suspect, 42 year old Tyrone Majette of Jersey City, NJ, HO Brittingham Elementary School was placed on lock down.  Police say Majette went to the victim’s job for money – she is his ex-girlfriend.  They argued and he hit her in the head, grabbed her purse and when into a shed where he grabbed a 10-inch knife and began stabbing the victim in the body and neck.  She is recovering at Beebe Medical Center.  Majette turned himself in to police around 4:30 – they learned he’d been using heroin – and was complaining of chest pains.  He was taken to Milford Memorial Hospital, treated and released back to police custody.  He’s being held in default of $107,600 cash bond.
