The Indian River School District will hold a public referendum meeting tonight at East Millsboro Elementary School starting at 7 o’clock; the meeting had originally been scheduled for last week but was postponed due to inclement weather.
During tonight’s meeting, district officials will give a presentation outlining initiatives that will be voted on tomorrow during a major capital improvement referendum. The referendum will propose a property tax increase of 14.7 cents per $100 of assessed value, raising property taxes for the average homeowner by $38.05.
