Maryland State Police and the Wicomico Bureau of Investigation are investigating a drive-by shooting and house fire in Salisbury Monday morning, which they believe are related.

Shortly after the house in the 500-block of Swan Road caught fire around 1 a.m., investigators say shots were fired at the house; two suspects were seen running from the scene.

Maryland State Police say a dog was killed in the incident but they don't know if it died in the fire or the shooting.
