Crisfield Police Arrest 6th Man for October Murder

Crisfield Police have arrested a man for the first degree murder of Thomas Edwards on October 19 at the Crisfield Housing Authority.  19 year old Deandre Harmon was brought in for questioning – he is the 6th arrest in relation to this on-going murder investigation.  Harmon is being held without bond.

UPDATED STORY 11.15.12:  Crisfield Police have arrested a 5th person in connection with last month’s murder of Thomas Edwards.

Police say 18-year-old Elijah Gerald of Crisfield is charged with numerous offenses including, 1st and 2nd degree murder and 1st and 2nd degree assault; he’s being held without bail.

27-year-old David Anderson of Crisfield, 19-year-old Barry Bourckel of Crisfield, Curtis Corbin of Salisbury and 24-year-old Terry White are all behind bars awaiting trial for the October 19 shooting at Somers Cove Apartments. Edwards was shot multiple times n the neck and back.

UPDATED STORY 10.25.12:  Crisfield Police have now arrested a fourth man in connection with last Thursday’s night’s deadly shooting at Somers Cove Apartments.

27-year-old David Anderson of Crisfield was arrested on Tuesday; he was charged with 1st and 2nd degree murder and a host of other offenses. 19-year-old Barry Bourckel of Crisfield was also charged Tuesday with murder and related offenses in connection with the murder of Thomas Edwards. Also arrested on Tuesday was Curtis Corbin of Salisbury; he was charged with accessory to murder. Last Sunday, police arrested 24-year-old Terry White.

Edwards was found shot to death on a neighbor’s porch last Friday morning; he had been shot multiple times in the neck and back.

Police say the shooting was gang related.

UPDATED STORY 10.24.12:  Crisfield Police have now arrested two more men in connection with last Thursday’s night’s deadly shooting at Somers Cove Apartments.

19-year-old Barry Bourckel of Crisfield was charged Tuesday with murder and related offenses in connection with the murder of Thomas Edwards. Also arrested on Tuesday was Curtis Corbin of Salisbury; he’s charged with accessory to murder.

Last Sunday, police arrested 24-year-old Terry White.

UDATED STORY 10.22.12:  Crisfield Police have now made one arrest in connection with last Thursday’s night’s deadly shooting at Somers Cove Apartments.

Police on Sunday, raided two locations at the complex for the possible recovery of evidence linked to 30-year-old Thomas Edwards’ murder; officers questioned a juvenile; he was later released.

23-year-old Terry White however was arrested and charged with Edwards’ murder. He was found shot to death on a neighbor’s porch last Friday morning; he had been shot multiple times in the neck and back.

UPDATED STORY 10.20.12:  Crisfield Police now say Thursday night’s deadly shooting at Somers Cove Apartments was gang related.

A man found a body slumped in the corner of his patio just after 1 a.m.; that was after police patrolling in the area had heard gunshots around 10:30 the night before, but couldn’t determine where they came from.

The victim has been identified as Thomas Edwards; he died from multiple gunshot wounds to his neck and back. Police say Edwards had been released from prison earlier this week; he had been set to serve a 15-year sentence for cocaine distribution, but was released on parole October 15.

As a result of the shooting, a curfew has been put in place in Somers Cove from 10 p.m. through 6 a.m. through Sunday.

ORIGINAL STORY:  Crisfield Police today are investigating a Thursday night homicide at the Somers Cove Apartments.

Police say officers were patrolling in the area around 10:30 when they heard gunshots. A search of the area didn’t initially turn up anything but then around 1:30 this morning, a resident called police and said he had found a body slumped in the corner of his patio; the man had several gunshot wounds to his neck and back.

The victim’s name has NOT yet been released. And police today are reviewing surveillance video to try and find a suspect or suspects.
