GOP Members in General Assembly Urging Against Pay Raises for State Lawmakers

Republicans in the state House and Senate are urging the state Compensation Commission to not recommend raises for state lawmakers.  Every four years the group analyzes salaries paid to officials in surrounding states – and those that are similar to Delaware – and puts out a report with its recommendations.  Those recommendations would go into effect on February first unless the General Assembly acts to prevent it.  House & Senate Republicans today signed a letter saying the current legislative salaries are appropriate.
