Attorney General Beau Biden is joining 6 of his colleagues in a lawsuit against the EPA.   Delaware – along with 6 other East Coast states are suing the Environmental Protection Agency for violating the Clean Air Act.  They claim that while the EPA has ruled that methane is a dangerous pollutant, they have failed to include it in recent updates of air pollution standards for the oil and natural gas industries.  AG Beau Biden says that because Delaware is a low-lying state, it will be significantly impacted by sea level rise from climate change – and methane and other greenhouse gas emissions must be reduced because they damage the environment, contribute to climate change and are a threat to public health.
