Beat the Peak: Friday Morning from 6 to 8

Dec 13, 2012 -- 6:20pm

The Delaware Electric Cooperative is asking members to help Beat the Peak tomorrow morning from 6 to 8.  Temperatures are expected to dip into the 30s tonight and members will be using a lot of energy to heat their homes. During times of peak energy use the co-op pays a premium price for energy - but by reducing how much energy you use - you can lower the co-op's energy costs. You should turn off unnecessary lights, delay the use of major appliances and hot water.  You can also turn the thermostat down a few degrees.
