Governor Jack Markell is looking to improve Delaware’s regulatory climate and will hold public hearings next month.

Public hearings will be held in January for the Department of Safety and Homeland Security.  The Governor is looking to not only improve the regulatory climate, but also to streamline or eliminate unnecessary regulations.  Public hearings will be held in each county and citizens are encouraged to provide suggestions about specific regulations that you feel should be streamlined or eliminated.  Public hearings will be Tuesday, January 8 at Sussex Central High School.  Tuesday, January 15 at UD’s Paradee Center in Dover.  Wednesday, January 23 at the Carvel State Office Building.  All the hearings begin at 6pm.  If you can’t get to a public hearing – comments will also be taken in writing through March first at dshs.delaware.gov
