State Senator Richard Cordrey will be honored with a building dedication in Dover today.
Governor Jack Markell will join Agriculture Secretary Ed Kee, members of the General Assembly and members of the Cordrey family to dedicate the Department of Agriculture’s Richard S. Cordrey Building on Route 13 in Dover.
Cordrey was a Senator from Millsboro, and served as President Pro Tem from 1976 until his retirement in 1996. He holds the U.S. record for longest-serving state Senate President Pro Tem.
Today’s dedication ceremony will begin at 10 o’clock.
