An Eastern Shore woman has died from her injuries after a crash in Seaford last week.

Delaware State Police say 81-year-old Mable Lake of Hurlock, Maryland died yesterday at Christiana Hospital from injuries she sustained in a December 12 crash on Route 13 in Seaford. Troopers say the crash happened when the car Lake was riding in didn’t stop for slowing traffic, and crashed into the back of a pickup truck. Lake wasn’t wearing her seatbelt, and went into the windshield.

The driver of the car, 51-year-old Sherlmaine Jenkins of Cambridge, Maryland, was treated for minor injuries at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital. The driver of the pickup, 65-year-old Larry Gray of Camden-Wyoming, was wearing his seat belt, and wasn’t hurt in the crash.
