DelDOT Treating Roads In Preparation For Snow In New Castle County

Dec 28, 2012 -- 5:37pm

DelDOT crews in New Castle County are preparing for snow.

Crews have been pre-treating major roads and bridges with brine. They’ll mobilize at 5 o’clock tomorrow morning to start treating roads again before the snow starts falling, and remain on the roads until they’re in safe, drivable condition. About 210 people and nearly as many pieces of DelDOT equipment will be out on the roads before dawn tomorrow.

DelDOT crews in downstate Delaware have not been mobilized at this time.
