2 Arrested In Shootings At Police Officer's Homes

Jan 03, 2013 -- 1:32pm

UPDATED JANUARY 6: The two men accused of shooting at the homes of police officers in western Sussex County could also face charges in Maryland.

20-year-old Orrin Joudrey of Delmar, Maryland and 24-year-old David Watson II were arrested Thursday by Delaware State Police. They’re being held on bail at SCI, and are accused of shooting at the home of a Dewey Beach Police Officer west of Laurel. Troopers say they found the rifle they believed was used in the shootings during a search of Joudrey’s car after he was stopped for DUI.

Meanwhile, the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Deputies say they believe Joudrey and Watson were also the shooters in three similar incidents in which officers’ homes were targeted in Wicomico County. The shootings happened during the overnight hours in late December in Wicomico, Worcester and Sussex Counties.
