A 36-year-old Smyrna man is behind bars following his arrest by Dover Police on Wednesday on numerous drug charges.

Augustine Butcher was arrested as a result of a joint drug investigation by Dover and Delaware State Police at a home room at the Comfort Inn and Suites on Leipsic Road.

A search of the hotel room turned up 23 bags of heroin, more than six grams of crack cocaine, 23 hydrocodone pills and $644 cash.
