UPDATE: Corrections Officials Apprehend New Castle Walkaway

UPDATED STORY 01.07.13:  Corrections officials and Wilmington Police have apprehended an inmate who failed to return from an authorized pass issued from the Hazel D. Plant Women's Treatment facility in New Castle last Thursday.

Officials say 19-year-old Ernisa Broomer initially was being held for a violation of probation on an original charge of criminal contempt. She's now behind bars at the Delores J. Baylor Women's Correctional Institution in Wilmington.

ORIGINAL STORY:  Corrections officials are looking for a walk away from the Hazel Plant Women’s Treatment Facility in New Castle.  Officials say 19 year old Ernisa Broomer of Wilmington failed to return from an authorized pass on Thursday.  She is black, about 5’ 6” and 240 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.  She’s being held for a violation of probation on an original charge of criminal contempt.
