It's that time of year again.
The Girl Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay Council will be going door to door starting today (Jan. 5) to take orders for their popular cookies. In addition to the traditional favorites (Mints, Samoas, Tagalons, etc.), the Chesapeake Bay Council will be the pilot council for new Snack Bars, which are available in Tagalong and Double Dutch flavors. The price remains unchanged from last year at $4 a box. The Girl Scouts will also take donations for Operation Taste of Home, which ships Girl Scout cookies to our troops stationed overseas, as well as to local food pantries, blood banks, cancer centers and youth programs.
The Girl Scouts' booth sales outside of local businesses, including convenience stores and Wal-Marts, will begin on February 8.
