Beebe Medical Center Ready to put Hospital's Flu Plan into Effect

The number of flu cases has increased in Delaware and Beebe Medical Center is ready to put it’s Flu Plan into effect.  Greeters will screen visitors who exhibit cold-like or flu-like symptoms who will be required to wear a mask for the safety of patients, staff and other visitors.  Staff is ready to handle an influx of patients and is following infection control practices.  Since December first, Beebe’s lab has tested 863 flu samples – with 154 testing positive for Influenza A and 8 positive for Influenza B.  They currently have 5 in-patients with flu.
