Teen Arrested in Newark for Strong Armed Robbery

Newark Police have arrested a 16-year-old juvenile from Newark in connection with a storng armed robbery that occurred September 25 on East Delaware Avenue. 

During the incident, a man walking on the sidewalk was carrying an iPod in his hand when a person riding a bicycle came by and grabbed the device. The victim was not injured.

After a lengthy investigation, Newark Police detectives located pawn records tying the juvenile to the incident. He was arrested  January 8 after police found items items linking him to the crime. 

The juvenile was charged with one count of second degree robbery and released on $6,000 unsecured bail.
