UPDATED JANUARY 14 BY ANDREW KOCH: The rainy forecast for tomorrow has prompted Governor Jack Markell’s office to move his inauguration indoors.
The inauguration ceremony for Markell and Lieutenant Governor Matt Denn has been moved into the auditorium of Central Middle School. Streets around Legislative Hall in Dover will now be open. The shuttle from the Blue Hen Corporate Center will still run to the school, as well as from Legislative Mall for guests. That shuttle will start running at 9:45 a.m.
The general public will be able to park on the streets around Central Middle. Residents are asked to arrive by 10:30 because they’ll have to go through security screenings.
